About Us

The Crafty Cat is a family run Studio, owned by Sue Barnwell. Sue is married to Charlie, and they have three children, Rachel, Alice and Luke. They live on the family farm in Braunston. The Studio is a new venture. Sue first heard of ceramic studios several years ago and her interest has been growing ever since. Her previous working experience was as a Secretary/PA. More recently, Sue has completed an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Early Years and has worked as a Pre-School Assistant for the last 5 years. She has a current CRB certificate.

Our Location

The Crafty Cat Studio is based at The Old Dairy Farm Country Shopping & Craft Centre, Upper Stowe, near Weedon, Northamptonshire (see contact us for directions). The Centre offers our visitors a unique selection of shops selling a wide variety of products to suit most pockets and tastes. To complement the shops, gallery and restaurant, the Centre is also home to a selection of working artists and craftspeople.

We have a small selection of animals at the Centre which are on show to our visitors, and add an extra interest especially for our younger guests.

During the year the Centre holds several special events. We have lambing weekends in the spring, and our unique 'Living Manger' prior to Christmas. Whilst the centre is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm the opening hours of some shops may vary. The restaurant and tea room is open daily, offering a wide variety of refreshments.
